using s14 header+SR downpipe, extra bung needed?

okay, i got an s13 with ka24de. i swaped in a new exhaust, and started to take the header, top and bottom, and found out there is a bung on the lower header? do i need to weld in another bung? can i leave it open? if i can get by with out using it, how do i cap it off?

i know there was something about putting on the sr header on an NA s13 with dohc engines, but couldn't find it again... car is on jacks right now, i am hoping i can get help by tomorrow morning...

okay... looking at the manual i have, it is the lower egr... i am guessing this means there is another place on the s14 for the second egr? or there is no second egr at all? can i just let this second guy hang out and chill? hahaha.... let me know if anyone knows...

i know you can remove the whole system, but that is too much work for me... can i just plug this second little guy up?

S13 = EGR, O2 sensor, AIV.
S14 = EGR, O2 sensor, rear O2 sensor.

In that order, from manifold to the catalytic converter.

I don't know what you're asking because your wording doesn't make sense, but all you really need is the O2 sensor. Anything else can be plugged.

hahaha, cool... i was kinda tired, i posted at like 3am? anwyays... this is what i am going to try, i put the s14 top header, plugged the egr with my s13 o2 sensor, and i will bolt up the down pipe and also the cat... this means i have no egr stuff... and i will need to find an s14 heat shield to cover up the left over egr stuff hanging there...

here is the kicker... i broke the bolt on the cat... and found a resonator that will fit in... my exhaust will be loud for sure... dammit, i hope i don't get a ticket while i get the cat fixed...

so let's see how this goes...

i also wet sanded and also painted my exhaust black... wrapped it in heat wrap... and am putting it on... here are some pics... spent alot of time on downpipe and exhaust... may be too much!

dirty exhaust

wet sanded by my hands!

finished painting the black

I have the same setupm abd yeah its loud. Im runnin 3" SR downpipe, 3" test pipe, and 3" SSA single. I plan on adding a magnaflow resonator somewhere in there to make it a little quieter.
