i was going to order 17s with 215-45-17 tires
now i am getting 18s
what size tires can i fit?

do you have an S13 or S14?..

i run on 215/35/18

i should be upgrading to 225/40/18..  and that should fit fine i believe..

I'm running 18x7.5 front, 225/40;  18x8.5 rear, 255/35.

new question
these are Axis se7en
18x7.5
i have a S13 dropped 1.8" with AGX shocks
what size tires do i need?
the recommended size is 215-35-18
am i going to have a problem?
will 45s fit?
so i go wideR?

If that's what axis recommended, they're on crack. With 7.5s you can go with 225's at most without rubbing on a lowered car (235's on a lowered car). 35 would be way too short on the sidewall. If you got 215's, I might even go 45 - prolly 40 though.

Go wider in the back - get a set of 8s or 8.5s - or go 18x8, 18x9. I got my rims based on the size that Volk recommends with a lowered car, and tires based on that too. You could probably go wider - they're being cautious...but I'd rather err on the cautious side too.

i am running 18's /225/40 now and have no problems. no rubbing. i am not lowered though.
