Has anyone ever used wheel spacers on a 240???

i rushed into getting some rims for my 240sx....i bought some Volk racing LE28N but the thing is that they are more like honda and acura rims there like 17 by 7.5 they stick in bad,,,and with the money i spent on them i dont want new rims but people have told me that if i just bought some rear wheel spacers they should bring my rims right next to the car for a nice tuck. and get some bigger tires to equal them out i have 205 or 215 some shit on them and they look real slim and small....so if anybody had used or bought or tried out wheel spacers hit me up i want to know how they worked for ya!!!!! thanks

First of all they're wheels not rims. A rim is the outer most component of a wheel.

I'll second Fred. He made a custom set of 10mm hubcentric and wheelcentric spacers for me. Expensive but great stuff.

just my 2 cents...

if u can find someone who'll give you a good price for those rims you should sell them. then you can buy yourself some rims that fit properly instead of shelling out extra money to band-aid the sizing.

boobs rawk.

some misconceptions that i might add...

wheel spacers= spacers with no studs coming out of them, usually no bigger than 20-25mm

wheel adaptors= are spacers with studs in them, usually minimum thickness is 25mm

with wheel adaptors u have studs sticking out of them and 5 holes in between each stud. So u put the adaptor on the hub and lock it down with provided lug nuts. Then the wheel goes onto the spacer stud and locks down with your wheel lug nuts.....the thing most people forgot is that the wheel adaptor thickness needs to be at least 25mm for the hub studs to clear....if not then you will have the hub studs stick past the spacer, in this case you need to make sure the wheels you are putting on have "space" between the lug holes....

i'd also reccomend Fred Goerske www.wheeladapters.com Tell him EXACTLY what you need, bore, patter, thickness, etc.. or he will NOT sell them to you if you are indecisive...
