Can anybody give me a good description of where this "Black signal wire" is that I'm supposed to hook my timing light up too?

Back on the engine where the coilpack harness runs ( under the spark plug cover)

And also why do I even have to use that black wire in the back? Why can't I just clip the timing light to the wires coming rite out of the coil pack?

It's a loop right after the fourth coil pack. Some people say it looks like a rubberband. Unless it's cut, you should be able to find it clearly.
