those will work too.. it wont hurt have it threaded in a little deeper.
2 1/4 was the longest i could find without ordering online.
i couldn't even find it in a metric size.. but i found a standard size that threads into the hole perfectly. i wanna say the size/thread pitch was 7/16 - 20 i found them at lowes
