As for the tire wear, at least according to the Tirerack guy I called up, the Neovas wear down quicker than the RE01Rs. The Neovas are softer and grip better in the dry. He said that the tire wear is relative, so it's not really fully accurate.
As for the 615 recalled, I might be wrong, but I heard that Falken recalled their newest tire. I assumed it was the 615 because they are quite new.
