make absolutely sure that you got all the air out of the lines. My friend's redtop PS pump died cuz he was too lazy to fill the reservoir after it was low (stupid huh?). It groaned and made terrible noises for weeks. When he got around to filling it again it was too far gone... apparently the fluid also works as some form of lubricant for the pump itself? I dunno.
What I DO know is that using it (especially lock to lock) when the fluid is low or gone will quickly kill your pump. Since helping troubleshoot that one, I've been pretty religious about making sure all my fliuds are topped off every time I put gas in.
