It's a monster if you can pull off headshots. Pretty much has the same effect as the sniper rifle. But I don't think it has the 1 shot 1 kill like the rifle. But it's still pretty powerful.
If I have a Lancer (gun w/ chainsaw) then I usually get them on their knees and just walk up to 'em, point the revolver at their head and splatter their face on the pavement. Too many people do the curb stomp and chainsaw executions. I gotta be original.
