Synapse Made a lot of money off the Missing Link and now he's blowing money trying to find the next "it" product. First the FPR now a BOV.

If you look at the diagrams it's EXACTLY the same as the SSQV it just doesn't have a spring and has a big cylinder instead of a diaphragm. The operation is the same. The SSQV doesn't open in that video cause it has no boost to actuate it. The little movement is the first stage opening. Once that opens the boost pressure pushes open the second stage. The Synapse model would do the same thing without pressure.

The two things that make this fail as a BOV is that it stays open at idle. Worthless to MAF cars and lets unfiltered air into the system. Also causes response issues as it bleeds air till it seals. 2nd it it a heavy metal piston that has to be opened by Vacuum and closed by Boost. It leaks like a strainer till it seals. The piston is very slow to react. You can hear compressor surge before it decides to open up.

I find it funny that he compares it to the SSQV when it is almost a complete knock off of it. Even uses the same flange. Love to see HKS sue them.
