What it'll do is that when you have that piece on, it will not lock the e-brake until you pop it out. So when yhou push the button in, the e-brake will not lock even when you pull it up, so its less of a hassle. It less of a hassle rather than cliking in the original button each time for Drifters engaging/controlling their drifts.

BTW: Just installed the Jspec.com turn knob on my friends S13 today.  Its pretty cool, but can be scary if someone hits the button down if parked on a hill or sumtn.
