Ok people.
I posted this on the freshalloy list a while back and got a few takers, but not enough to finalize anything. Here's the deal I too am from Wilmington and i'm all for the Wilmington meet, but i personally don't think it's fair to the other people in the adjacent cities and states to meet on the coast.
Now...The last meet i set up (beginning of the year some time) was at Raleigh's Entertainment Sports Arena (ESA) where the Carolina Hurricanes play. I chose this place not because i live in Raleigh, but because my wife works there part time and she got a reserved area for us with no cops to hassle us. The last meet we had "almost" 20 240's total.
In order to get a good turn out for the next meet (whether it be in Wilmington, Raleigh or where ever) let's rationally look at the timing of this meet. We have people that will be going to VIR or NOPI and may decide not to meet with us. Let's try to get a head count for the best available time so we can make it an awesome showing.
So...if you want to have it at ESA again, i can have my wifey talk to the people at ESA again. Or we can do Wilmington. Let's first decide this one.
I say Raleigh, and not VIR weekend or NOPI weekend or the 5th of Oct thru 13th cause i'll be in Japan.
** As for Caleb’s old car…..yes it will be on the road soon. I hear Corey is working on it now.
