no, bass blocker suck ass. if you are running them of the head unit you will lose too much power through them. if youre going to amp them, the amp should have its own hpf/lpf. actually, i had an deck similar to that and it had its own filters in it, i could actually select the speaker size off the deck and it would determine the cut-off points on its own- it still needed a bit of tweaking though.

you should go to tweeter or best buy, play around with some of their gear and then order it of ebay to save some money.
