i know of three ways to do what you're talking about.
1.) buy a can of that engine flush shit. it's a silver can with a pop off lid like dog food. dump it in your oil, run your car for a bit, change your oil.
2.) buy a can of seafoam. dump it in your oil, run your car for a bit, change your oil.
3.) buy a bottle of automatic tranny fluid. dump it in your oil, run your car for a bit, change your oil.
1 doesn't seem to do much. 2 and 3 seem to really do their job.
