a good friend of mine has a 94 rx7. he is pulling that engine and putting in an ls1. apparently there is a kit you have to install in the engine bay and it is a drop in affair. he tells me alot of people do this because they can't get big power from the rotary reliably. i mean like 500+ hp. since the ls1 is alluminum it isn't that much heavier, i think after all is installed it is 40lbs difference.
