usually most honda owners of their precious type r keep the engine stock and just go i/h/e (this is from MY experience, i'm in no way saying that all type r owners do this, just a majority of them ).
i don't know too much about type r's other than they shouldn't be too much of a problem for you (especially with your mod list). They are after all, a track car...not so much a drag car. i'm not saying they can't be fast, but the track was the main intent of the type r.
