definitely the most important aspect of traction in the rain. what kind of tires were you (are you) on? It's seriously no fun to drive in the rain with most summer compound tires... especially something like Falken Azenis.

Pretty uncomfortable at 65mph+ in heavy rain and very bad hitting the mini puddles in the road but for general rain driving they are pretty great...way better than my, umm whatever I had on there before with lots of tread.
