Those are long stretches of road, would be difficult to determine what part is the "spot"; people can go at their own risks. And Ortega, in particular, isn't something I'd suggest for just anyone to hope onto.
To answer the original question, yes, I used to go on Ortega occassionally, but it was before my engine swap. As is right now, my engine is running at a 100% and I need to get used to the additional power.
I like ortega at night, less cars, but more dangerous if something does happen <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/unhappy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':unhappy:'>
