2way/spool is SO much better than an open or vlsd. For grip/drift/hardparking it rocks. Only people who can't drive on a competition style setup are those who lack driving skill.
The reason your rear becomes unstable is if you are putting in the wrong inputs. So to me, it isn't about adaptation, but about learning proper driving etiquette. Sounds more like a personal problem than a car problem.
