Wrong on all accounts. The indicator light trips when the pressure sender goes to ground. With it unplugged, there is no ground, so no indicator. And since there is only a single wire there's nothing to jump anyway.
The ECU is not tied in to the pressure sender at all and has nothing to do with it.
So like I've said before and could have been found in a search, the OE sender is useless. Throw it away, keeping it will only assure an oil leak later on.
