Something with the tranny..
I don't understand how that happened... I went for a test drive of my newly sr'ed 240sx last saturday and after 70-80miles, my clutch pedal got stuck. I manually pulled back the pedal but the clutch was still engage. Gave my mechanic a call and he thought there was air in the hydraulic system. Anyways, I tow it at my GF's mechanic so he can check it out... Slave cylinder was out, so they replaced it. Then, it was the master cylinder... They also replaced it... And now, it's a weird problem only I could have... the part on which the throw-out bearing rests has a groove in its internal diameter (where it slides on the shaft) and when the clutch engages, the part slightly comes off the shaft. When that part tries to go back, the groove gets stuck on the shaft and the clutch stays engaged while my cylinders blow out!!!
Now that parts need machining... I have to eliminate the groove so it will slide back correctly on the shaft... I ordered a KA part from Nissan, hoping that they are interchangeable and that it doesn't have the groove... If it does, I will have to machine a new part or grind the interior of the groove in a angle...
What a bitch... The car has been in the garage since monday...
