You sir, do not bother to do as much research, as is needed, to discuss Nissan's heritage.
Fact is Nissan has a long history of V series engines going back to the mid 80's. The Y44 all aluminum V8 was being produced in the 80's for the President Limousine line. They are as much rooted in V series technology as inline 6 tech.
Actually, their V series technology, is so much more advanced than of their inline 6 technology, that your statement is ignorant.
Their V6's have been winning World Wide awards for excellence for almost twenty years straight. While their inline 6 technology grew into something very good, it was not technologically superior to other peoples inline 6 technology. Their V6 Technology is.
Nissan builds some of the best V6's in the World. some of the highest factory HP rated V6's in the world. While their inline 6's were great they were not as stunning as their V6's.
