the cost of owning an "OLD" car in japan is more than it's worth, thousands of dollars (yen? ha) in taxes every year, it's how japan keeps people buying new cars... they have tons of laws about old cars to make them not worth driving. it's part of Japanese failing economic situation... like, Houses NEVER increase in value in Japan, because who wants an old house? right? ha... those crazy Japanese, what will they think up next?
