Tell me about it I've had the same issue, but only with my passenger side.
I think its because it gets way to damn hot here in my neck of the woods so the adhesive goes to crap. first mirror I got had to get the whole assembly and that cost me $15 good deal and the second time it happened again was 2 weeks after I put the new assembly in. Then I scored on another one for free.
