Yea, books I read said place the thumb above the spokes. But my experience and others tells me that it's better to feel the steering wheel w/ the palm of the hand. However, that's strictly for drifting. Touge runs and open tracks, hands at 3 and 9, thumb above spokes. I can see bend thumb that way still, but I guess one has to learn to react quick to different situations too.

Back to topic, someone on Club4ag.com is doing some kinda of group buy for Nardi's. You might want to check it out, though primarily for 86 owners. I am sure he'll be able to get you something too, long as you got the cash.
