yeah , s13 over here was 89-95 with CA18DET engine only but was known as a 200sx so tell your friend hes slightly wrong there
94-onwards was s14 and s14a as we kinda call em to label them as facelift, all of these were sr20det blacktop variable valve motors, none of oyr s13's came with an sr at all, i think jap 180's had CA18DET's till about 1990, was very early before the switch to sr anyway
