I JUST finished installing an S15 T28 on my S13 engine this morning.
I am seriously glad I spent the extra money to get stainless lines from Taka. Circuit Sports makes some too FWIW. The removal was a real PITA with the stock hard lines, especially the water return that runs behind the block to the heater hose.
Re-install was cake with the stainless lines. They have enough play to get their fittings attached while working behind the manifold, and then maneuvering the manifold into place.
I also went with the clocking adapters for the inlet/outlet on the compressor housing. This way I could use the intake and intercooler piping I've already got, which simplified things immensely.
One other thing to consider - I also went with an S14 water neck (they're pretty cheap from a few different vendors), which has a threaded fitting for the water return. That way you can run your water return a few inches to the neck, instead of all the way behind the block again.
