Why are they striping the paint off of the car? They are charging you $500 for striping whole car, and extra for striping other parts. That's stupid IMHO. My dad's owned an autobody shop for 35yrs and I've never seen an estimate for painting a car that high. Ok, realistically you should be looking at $1200-$1500 for a good paint job, that includes sanding and preping. Then do figures on how much it would take to fix all the things you want done to it, dents, etc. Personally I'm thinking you should be paying probably around $2,000. Some of those repairs you could be making yourself as you said that you do autobody work. You'd save alot of money that way.
