Ya shocks will blow in time. Most ppl i know just go buy new shit when this happens considering it's 100 bucks a shock plus shipping to overhaul. How much more would it cost to get new dampers from tein? Probably not much more than the overhaul considering the whole kit is 800 with springs and everything. I myself am using KYB AGX shocks with ground control sleeved coilover springs. 6.7K/4.5K custom rates. I love how my car feels but i've got a lot more done to the car besides that

whiteline front/rear adjustable sway bars
whiteline polyurethane bushings
CP Racing front&rear triangular strut bars
Tein front pillow ball mounts w/adjustable camber
Soon rears also for X-mas
Autopower 6-point rollcage

I dont know if you can use the pillow ball mounts with regular springs and that's a HUGE HUGE part in your suspension. I'd look into it before i bought the RSR. Coilovers have advantages in ride height adjustment too. If you are using the AGX or KONI, you may as well buy some Ground Control so you can have ride height adjustment and be able to use the pillow ball mounts too. IMO.
