I thought I'd never buy another Nissan after the first one I had got, a zenki s14. I would be driving then at a stoplight the motor would just randomly die. I literally had to crank it for 30 seconds just to get it start up again. 30 seconds feels like an eternity when people are all honking at you when the light is green and you're stuck. I think it was a timing problem but anyways, sold it for what I bought it for to the previous owner's friend. I have yet to start driving my s13 hatch but my swap is done, just waiting on the essentials for driving, like brakes and a clutch. I can't wait.
In the meantime, I have been driving my dad's 95 Jeep Cherokee. I believe he bought it with 150,000 miles on it and today it has over 300,000. The thing still drives strong, although it is very slow and extremely gas inefficient. Plus it got hit on the rear door by a BMW 5 series, the hood and bumper of the BMW was destroyed, where as the jeep only has a dent on it.
I guess it boils down to hoping your car isn't a piece after the years and miles roll on while you own it
