well since your are using a smic you are probably using the stock cold pipe which is plastic, its going on your hot pipe in that case. You can get a 1.5 or 2 in hose block thing.or take a piece of hose that fits and stick it on the fitting and a block of something, metal or pvcor whatever on the other end.
where to place the bov is optional. closest to the throttle body you will get the best throttle response but more surge. closest to the turbo and you get less response and more surge.
