Alright so there was a big change made yesterday in a rush to get stuff together in a timely manner for the season. I bought a caged hatch from a friend of mine who is moving. Cfintch is the original builder of the car, so I thought why not.
So High Hopes is pulled into DDS and proceeded in getting her cloths taken off...
I love s chassis for the fact that everything can come off so quickly. Within an hour I was ripping out her heart and her dreams of VDproam stardom.
Left in complete disarray she now sites confused about what just happened.
Now for the new kid on the block. After taping and cleaning until 2am this thing was ready for one day paint and body.
This is the resulting tape job. Amateur hour at its fullest. The manager at the body shop was like "how long has this tape be sitting on here?" I told him I did it a couple hours ago and then he starts to rip it off. haha "we'll redo it..." For the price of the job I thought I wasn't going to get that much in the way of prep but they seem like they're going to do a bang up job.
The color is going to be 040 Toyota super white which is the whitest white you can get. This will be my third car I've painted this color and I've also painted one of my bikes this color. I love it.
I'm not sure what the name of this car is going to be yet. It hasn't come to me partly, I'm not a fan of hatches, out of owning 7 240's this is my first hatch. I wanted something that will get me through the proam season, which hopefully this car will do. I plan on destroying this chassis over the season so be ready for full on wall hits. Since this car has no paperwork it will be reduced to a missile car after the five proam events.
As for High Hopes she'll have to sit and wait to see what will become of her. If I'm looking good for a license by mid season I'll get an early jump on building her for Formula D if the funds are there. If I completely blow ass I'll prep her to be an awesome street car. Only time will tell.
