My current SR setup consists of:

s14
tomei 260s
VTC working
CP pistons 8.5 comp
eagle rods
acl bearings
Apexi intake manifold.
Greddy type LS intercooler
tomei expreme exhaust manifold t2 IWG
dbb t28

Im adding 820cc injectors a aero 340 lph and a cobra MAF is needed.

I have 3 turbos in my hands.

A dbb t28 from a s15
a gt2871r .64 AR t2 Internal gate
a gt3071r t2 external gate

I want to convert to a GTX t2, t3 external setup.

Im looking to try to push the gtx2867r to the limit. Im going to be spraying 50/50 water/meth

My goals are as responsive to just over 400whp. Ive looked into twinscroll hx35s twinscroll gtx3071rs and they just dont seem worth switching my setup for these. I can mod the current mani for t2 t3 or EWG thats not an issue.

Now are there any ADDITIONAL things I can do to the gtx2867r to give me slightly more top end? Im going to use a dremel on it and try to make it AS smooth as possible.

Im trying to get as much power as possible out of the t28 frame and just wondering where the limit is? I dont want to convert to a top mount setup. Like you said any top mount setup making less than 500whp is IMO a waste of time.

Alot of the non nissan community around here seems to think t28 turbos max out at 300whp. Which is perfect for me.
Cody is the master of this and hopefully can answer your question soon.
What he will probably suggest is getting the manifold extrude-honed (High Performance, High Output Racing - GetHoned) to smooth out the air flow in the manifold and increase the volume slightly for more CFM. I was considering doing that to the manifold but its $500!!!
The reason I wanted a stock SR manifold is because of the strength of it, the fact that you can attach a stock heat shield to it, and the pulse pairing. But... with an external WG setup like I did mine the pairing is pretty much destroyed.
Ill be mounting mine soon, just ironing out some minor stuff on my KA
