I cannot really say that DCC has been introduced in late model 180sx kouki (type-x or whatever you call it).....The thing I know is that there are 2 version of DCC, which has different plug colors on the back of the controller (grey VS black).....The late model DCC has the grey plugs......I know it because the grey plug and the black one are not compatible with each other......However, it only matters when you bought the whole car's harness from one person and bought the DCC from another person, which sometimes you didn't notice the differences when you bought it......
If you want to do a conversion, try getting everything from one seller.....And, try to get as a complete set......It's a lot easier and less work for you.....
DCC is great.....I love it......
