2 ways clunk around turns if you're in gear, and are quiet around turns in neutral (so the opposite of what you said). Especially around low speed tight corners. Your outside tire could skip if your gear oil is old or a bad weight.
Welded's will make the outside tire skip like a motherfucker all the time.
