Hi I have a 1993 s13 manual transmission. I just climbed under that car and found a leak on my transmission from one of the side bolts right under the shifter. I tried searching and can't seem to find the exact answer to this leak. I have read somewhere that the boot on the shifter can be broken and fluid may leak from there, but it seems to come directly from this bolt circled in red.
Can somebody tell me what this bolt is? I know this isn't the fill plug... The transmission seems to have one on the left and one on the right. Can I just remove it and replace gasket or seal it with rtv?
BTW transmission is getting kind of notchy due to loss of tranny fluid.
