hud will work regardless of motor as along as it's hooked up properly.
tach has less to do with year/generation than it does with whether or not it's DOHC or SOHC.
I think getting an S13 DOHC harness would be extremely beneficial and would simplify this alot. Does it already have the external coil and coilless distributor?
