stock KA/SR pilot bearings are a self lubricating interference fit type. they dont spin in the bearing journal. anyway, did you make sure to grease up the throwout bearing and pivot ball? take a peak through the inspection plate and make sure the clutch fork hasnt fallen off its pivot.
did you make sure to apply proper torque to the pressure plate? see if there are there any debris between the friction surfaces.
did you get your flywheel turned?
i had this same problem with a civic about 2 months ago. turns out one of the spring retainer lips sheared off and got lodged between the friction disc and pressure plate. the throwout bearing, m/c s/c and pressure plate did their jobs.
