i traced ever wire from the 14 cluster and matched it to the R33.
But I also made a custom sub harness for mine so I can swtich between S14 and R33 so mine is plug and play.
You can see how i did mine in my "Project RB" thread but I didnt do any wire write ups.

i didnt say it was direct swap. said it was bolt in.
wiring should be a given.
