why doesn't he want to get the fender rolled? You know the difference between rolling and pulling fenders right? Rolling will give you more clearence, abou 10mm, but will look no different on the outside. You can get it done for around $30 a fender (give or take) and he only have 2 fenders to do!!!!
IF he ROLLS the rear fenders he could fit the 17x9 +20 with a 215/45 and about 2-3 degrees of negative camber.
IF he still doesn't want to roll the fenders (although there is no reason not too) then 17x9 +25 w/215/45 with 2-3 (maybe more) degrees of negative camber. It will probably be really close though.....
