Get a two bolt EWG that comes with the bracket or even v-band, have CodyAce (or someone else) weld the mount to a stock manifold or buy a mani for EWG. Add screamer pipe or route to DP. The last can be bolted on or done by a shop for little money.
You're saying all that as if you don't have to unbolt anything for cams which is laughable. I mean just pop the new cams in and that's all that's to it, right? Oh and the external isn't all for nothing which I previously stated. The fact that I'm even responding to someone who contradicts themselves in one post is beyond me...
"you can compensate with engine configuration such as camshaft exhaust valve closing points (camshaft gear timing can assist your goals) but again, horrible idea on an SR20 because of the fact you need to remove the valvecover to modify camshaft setting, AS WELL as the looming crunch if the gears let loose."
Well done.
Edit: Also if you think taking the turbo/exhaust mani is complicated then you should get out of 240s and into a Prius.

All you did is just repeated what I said, having to weld and fabricate and deal with plumbing.
