Frankly the s-chassis is no longer the "bang for the buck" performer it used to be. All the other cars it undermined in terms of price and performance...have dropped in price drastically.
For the amount of money it takes to turn a 240 into a modern looking and solid performer, far better platforms are attainable. Not to mention the avoidance of financial suicide by sinking tens of thousands of dollars into a 20yr old car.
I think they are still going to be popular for awhile among the younger crowd, but as guys get into the mid/late twenties...they don't want to mess around with these beaters.
