I actually agree now that I run one, but it's something I have flipflopped on quite a bit over the years.

Yeah I had both wired on high and even still it wouldn't hold a good temp. I also run a nismo tstat and at the time had a single row koyo. I mainly like the peace of mind. When I was running a taurus fan I found out the hard way just how much power they pull. I kept melting relays and wouldn't find out til the car started overheating. Happened one too many times and I blew the headgasket, which in turn blew the ringlands since I kept driving on it thinking there was just air in the system because the oil was perfectly clean(I knew when it hit 380F though). Even though I had beefed the wiring and relay up to hold 60A no issue, I just didn't trust it. I found myself constantly turning the radio down and listening for the fans every time I stopped which was annoying. At least now I know the clutch fan is working at all times.
