I have a question regarding which replacement gear to buy for my s14's transmission. A little background on the car, i bought the car from an import dealer a few months ago. It came with an sr20det and a s15 spec r 6 speed transmission. Well a couple days ago i noticed when i shifted into 6th gear i heard a grinding crunching noise and it wouldnt stay in gear. So i had my uncle whose a mechanic check it out and it came down to replacing the 6th gear in it.
I wanted to know if i should buy the OEM gears or buy the nismo variant of the gears needed. Money isnt a issue i just want to know if the nismo variant is worth the extra money.
