I think that thing from the transmission is a chunk of 32137-E9000, the "oil gutter". It helps lubricate the back section of the transmission. It's common for it to snap off when people do home rebuilds of Nissan transmissions, basically every Nissan/Datsun RWD 4 speed/5 speed has it.
