I have a S-14 silvia and a 180sx the 14 has a Black top and the 180 has a red top. I hear the Tick you talk about only with my 180. What I think it is.... Well let me ask this when did the noise start in relation to your last oil change? the 180 only does it near the end of its oil's life. and only when it's cold.
