ok here is the situation. i've found an engine + tranny deal for 450. the seller claims that the engine has less than 70k milege on them and is off a 93 coupe and originally off a 96. he driven for 15k since he swap the 96 into his car and was taking out when he did the "JDM Motor" swap. he also said that the engine has performance cams and gears but which brand is unknown as he got it off a friend. he also said the engine compression is around 160. The engine has been painted therefore there is no sign of oil or dirtiness. i will check it out in person in a day or two. so when i do check it out in person what should i really look for ? what you think of the deal ? all comments are welcome.
