i don't know how to set the timing exactly, but from what i understeand, if you advance your timing (or retrad, i forgot), it will improve your horsepower by a tad bit...  but in return, you will need to run 93 octang (or 91 for sad people like me that don't get 93), if you don't, it will denote, ping, kock, expload and inpload at the same time while causing a reaction similart to a nuclear explosion, thus everyone in the 1 mile radius will die, and radiation will travel up to 3 miles...
