It really depends on two things:
-Type of tweet; ie. brightness and such
-distance  to listener.

To get the best imaging with a tweet u want to get a decent amount of power as far away from the listener as possible while avoiding any interferences (between tweet and listener) as highs are sensitive to objects in path. By placing the tweets as far away as possible, you create a better more realistic sound stage. I'm in the process of building custom kick panels for my CDT 3 way set and have found that the foot wells produce the best imaging without seeming to be over-bright as the pillar mount will sound.


I strongly suggest that you hook your tweet up with a bunch of wire and try each location for a few days; until you decide which works better with your setup.
