I like it better tapped straight into the intake mani. It looks cleaner and seems to get a much better signal. It's not much work at all, unless you don't know how to pull of the intake mani quickly. But just drill and tap right in the front of it, right around where the stock water temp sensors are and then put the mani back on, run a wire and you're done. You can even run the wire in with the engine harness and then to your gauge.
