If the fan only has one input wire, it only has one speed. It doesn't matter if you plug it into the low or high. It will just pull a predetermined amount of power and work at a predetermined speed.
What I would do is follow the instructions in the link and ground out the relay like he says. Then hook the input of the fan to the white/red wire and it should always be on with ignition.
You can ignore the high wire because you don't have one. You can also hook it up to the fuel pump, or to the accessory terminal, but since you already have instructions for the fan that will be the easiest way.
